Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association, or Tamaqua EMS, is located at 98 North Railroad Street in the heart of Tamaqua. Our primary coverage area consists of about 75 square miles of territory from small town settings to rural areas. We cover from the traffic light at the intersection of Route 309 and Ben Titus road in the north, to the White Diner on Route 309 South; and from the bottom of the Number 11 Hill (State Route 209) in the east to the outer boundaries of Schuylkill Township to the west.
We currently have about 20 active members and 8 paid EMT's to cover the area 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The hiring of Paid Staff was intended to cover busy times of day when many of our volunteers are at their work place and unable to be at the station. Membership applications are always welcome and can be submitted at the station at 98 North Railroad Street, or you may fill out an application on-line simply by clicking on the application link on the top left hand side of the page. Contact any member for more information.
